With a tailored training and development programme, NetJets introduced passion and energy into their annual meeting by challenging their staff to 'run the river'!

Background

NetJets is a worldwide network of shared aircraft that guarantees their clients access to one of their planes whenever they need it, anywhere in the world. They are one of the most formidable operators in the aviation industry, with a reputation for excellent customer service.

NetJets people are some of the very best and they deal with every eventuality as a well coordinated team. Their systems and methods for effectively managing an extremely complex number and range of logistics are second to none.

So what did NetJets want from Catalyst? In their own words: “To improve!”

Choosing Catalyst for Training & Development

NetJets approached Catalyst to help them run their annual meeting. The meeting had traditionally been a day of presentations on NetJets' company status, strategies and plans; whilst NetJets wanted to continue with all that had been successful about this format, they also wanted to add a new dimension of passion and energy, which is what they asked us to do.

By raising the standard of their internal customer service and developing the relationships between their staff and departments, NetJets felt this would lead to further improvements in their external customer service. A win-win situation all round.

On the day

By working closely with senior members of staff, we were able to provide NetJets with a tailored training and development solution uniquely designed to meet their needs and objectives.

On the first day of the annual meeting, we provided NetJets with a number of short, fun and illustrative training plenary sessions. These were followed by River Runner, which we had carefully tailored, not only to meet NetJets’ requirements but also to maximise the potential of their venue and allotted timescale.

To cement the learning achieved through these activities, we returned the following day to hold open reviews of the learning that had taken place. We also ran One Voice to ensure the energy of live, experiential activity was maintained and NetJets' theme of ‘Zumbido’ (Portuguese for ‘buzz’) was upheld.

Return on investment

  • The short, plenary sessions were well received, with some good points being raised and dealt with. This further enhanced developing relationships.
  • River Runner was also a huge success. The energy, positive attitude and professional manner with which NetJets’ staff approached the task were breathtaking. It proved to be exactly the right kind of challenge to match the level of service, training and performance of 250 staff with the highest standards and expectations.
