Introducing Astral Challenge…

Astral Challenge is a fascinating and rewarding journey of discovery into the heart and soul of your chosen location. In a real-life sleuthing adventure, your teams must literally ‘join-the-dots’ to solve the mystery at the heart of this challenge.

In a challenging team event that gets everyone involved and out and about, your delegates will be encouraged to sleuth their way around, see the best sights and unearth information that will reveal their final destination or number.

Astral Challenge can also be highly tailored to your precise criteria. It is possible for us to incorporate a wide spectrum of information in the criteria we give your teams, including business issues and objectives, ensuring that this is a unique and memorable event tailored specifically to your conference or corporate message.

What will happen during Astral Challenge?

• Each of your teams will set off armed with a map of the area, a guidebook and a Fuji instant camera. They will also be given their own unique ‘Astral Map’ - a large bespoke chart covered in numbers, much like a child’s join-the-dots challenge.
• The aim of the challenge is for your teams to identify and visit locations where they must discover the answers to specific questions.
• Each answer identifies a pair of numbered dots on their Astral Map, which must then be joined. These dots may be identified from the digits of a specific phone number, the dates on a statue or the number of a famous building.
• At each checkpoint, your teams must take an instant photograph as outlined in their guidebook. The criteria they are given may be purely scenic, requiring the team to identify the right location, or may promote team creativity by challenging them to recreate a more complex image.
• As more answers unfold, so each team’s Astral Map begins to take shape. Once all the relevant dots have been joined together, the Astral Map will spell out the name of their final destination. Alternatively, it may reveal a telephone number that, when called, will announce the destination.
• If you wish, we can also design the Astral Maps so that each of your teams has a slightly different version, none of which spells out the entire final message. Only when the teams combine forces and overlay all the maps will the complete final message be revealed.
