Corporate social responsibility, triple bottom line or not just for profit – whichever model you use, there is a growing need for companies to be accountable for their impact on society. Tree-Mend-Us gives your delegates the opportunity to play their part in the community, be mindful of the planet’s precarious predicament and leave a lasting legacy for all to enjoy. In a fun, urban quest that puts everyone’s teamwork skills to the test, your delegates will soon move from assuming that this is a competition to realising that by working collaboratively they can complete their project far more effectively. At the same time, they will achieve a common goal for your company, their community and the planet. Think of Tree-Mend-Us as an eco treasure hunt with tangible results: a truly unique opportunity to contribute to the world around you. With its real ecological benefits, Tree-Mend-Us is an ideal event to complement financial carbon offset schemes for your company or to offer an engaging, significant and worthwhile CSR option.
What will happen during Tree Mend Us?
- Armed with a golden trowel, a tray of saplings, a GPS unit, a camera and a bespoke booklet of clues, your teams will be challenged to track down pre-selected locations.
- At each location, your teams will celebrate their success by planting a tree and taking a photograph of themselves together with the people from that local community as evidence.
- However, this is not guerrilla planting! In advance of the day, we undertake work to ensure trees are planted in locations where they are welcome, such as schools, public parks, hospitals, sheltered housing communities and other public and private spaces.
- As a great finale to this event, you also have the option to add a concluding ceremony with accompanying press coverage. This provides a valuable opportunity to further motivate everyone and to say thank you before your delegates depart knowing that they have made a tremendous difference.
